I fell in love with photography in High School but never thought that I would have my very own photography company. I actually planned on going into film and making movies in Hollywood; however, once I realized that I wanted a family and Hollywood probably wouldn’t allow that I decided to do something that would allow the creative side of me come out and give me the freedom that I wanted.

In 2003 a lot of things happened, I graduated from college, started my photography company, MichelleAllen Photography, and was about to get married. When I first decided to start my company I had a huge dilema.. the name. I was about to get married and didn’t want to use my maiden name, but I had a little while before I was married and I didn’t want to use my new name; thus I came up with a bright idea to use my middle name and my future husbands middle name; The company MichelleAllen Photography was born.

After 4 years of business, the name has become a confusing part of my life and business. People are confused of  who Michelle Allen is, especially when I tell them my name is Kim, go figure!! Therefore in August of 2007 my husband and I decided that we needed to change the name to be less confusing; thus, the new era of Kimberly Jarman Photography was born.

I couldn’t do this without my biggest fan, my husband Jamie. He is my number one support and has helped me so much through the good and the bad. Women... if you can find a man like mine you will be set for life!

We are big dorks. We like to have a lot of fun. We love to travel, LOVE Disneyland, like sports, adventure, and also relaxation. We are usually up for anything and everything, but also really like to just sit back and watch a good movie. However, back to that Disneyland thing.... if you go, you might just see us there, we are regulars and enjoy being a kid again. It’s the best place on earth!!!

I have twin nephews and they are adorable; if you frequently visit this blog you will see many pictures of them because I adore them. I love being an aunt and it has actually has brought me much closer to wanting a family someday.

After 4 years of owning this business a lot has changed; we now have a brand new studio in downtown Mesa, where I get to meet clients and show them all that we can offer them through photography. We have branched out from just doing weddings and now do Senior Pictures, Lifestyle family and baby pictures. And we have grown in our love and knowledge of photography. It has been an amazing journey.
