MY STORY

A JOUNREY TO FIND BALANCE WITHIN ENTREPRENUERSHIP + MOMMYHOOD + HEALTH

“The time will pass anyway, you can either spend it creating the life you want, or spend it living the life you don’t want. The choice is yours.” -anonymous

I wouldn’t have my life any other way. A wife to Jamie, Mommy to Kailee & Kaiden, Photographer for 13 years,  A life changing journey, An opportunity to help others to change their lives for the better. My life isn’t perfect… I’ve made MANY mistakes, but I wouldn’t change any of it because my story has made me who i am today. Our stories are powerful, and sharing them can be scary, because it puts everything out in the open, but it can also be freeing, because sometimes people need to see the imperfections, to know that they are not alone. I pray my story can help people find out who they are.

My Story. My Life. My Choices. .... Our Choices Make Us Who We Are.

01. ENTREPRENUER

In 2003 I graduated college from Arizona State University with a marketing degree, but the semester before I graduated I decided to do something crazy and start my own photography company. Not even out of college yet, and about to get married, I figured, why not now? So, I did it…. And it took off!

I’ve never held a “adult” job other than owning my own business, so I’m 100% an entrepreneur at heart. I LOVE working for myself and I’ve done well at it. I’m a WORKER though… one who stays up until the late hours and wakes up early because things have to get done… so early into my marriage, when it was just my hubby and I, I just worked… all the time…. And it paid off.

My photography company really did well. I was booking 30-40 weddings a year and working almost every weekend, sometimes I even had triple weddings (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). It was tiring, but I LOVED it. I was growing my business and having a blast doing it.

A Glimpse INTO MY PERSONAL JOURNEY

A journey that changed my life forever. In 2004 I was the “skinniest” in my life. Not necessarily in shape, but skinny. When I got married and started working 70+ hours a week to get my photography business going, I stopped caring for myself and slowly gained weight. After my first daughter I struggled to loose the weight, and after multiple times of trying, I felt so defeated that I just gave up. With the birth of my son in 2014, I was the heaviest I had ever been in my life. Fighting PPD, and some personal things in my husbands and my relationship, I decided things had to change. I had to make a HUGE change to my health and do things right. In order for me to survive mentally, though all of what I was going through, I had to get my physical body and my mind in shape.

I found my why, and dove in head first… I haven’t looked back.

Once I figured out HOW to do it, I accomplished my goal of loosing 85 pounds and have still maintained keeping it off. Leading others, and showing them that they can also make this a reality, is my new passion.
